Summary:The project will focus on a robust marketing strategy that will cover both Down by the Seas hospitality and clothing sides of the business.
This position is supported through the Unlocking Cornish Potential (UCP) Scheme. UCP is a graduate level placement scheme which works with businesses to recruit and support ongoing business development through the placement of a graduate.
North Cornwalls Down By The Sea Ltd operates a number of business in the hospitality and retail sectors including Fusion a fashionable clothing chain of three stores and The Waterfront Restaurant; and The Sand Bar the new cafe in the popular tourist area of Polzeath.
The successful graduate will be required to: Raise the profile of Fusion throughout Cornwall and analyse the effectiveness of marketing events
Implement a social media strategy including Face-book and Twitter
Manage all aspects of internet marketing for Fusions ecommerce site
Identify opportunities to heighten winter hospitality trade
Evaluate the quality of food and service provided by The Waterfront and The Sand Bar
Identify if the restaurant and cafe would benefit from internet marketing activity
The graduate will need to familiarise themselves with the two distinct areas of the business with support being provided by both directors. A mentor will be provided to support with the marketing strategy and social media skills. There will be research to undertake and the need to develop good working relationships with the staff.
Essential Requirements:

ADP Diamond Cutting Solutions Ltd was incorporated in September 2003 and has quickly become one of the fastest growing specialist cutting tool suppliers in the United Kingdom. ADP Diamond Cutting Solutions Ltd is the parent company of ADP Diamex, ADP Westfix and Mexco.
ADP Diamex offers telephone recommendations for cutting and drilling products to a wide range of clients. The business is primarily built on recommendations and repeat business.
Mexco offers a similar range of products for the end user via a network of resale outlets. These outlets can range from small independent merchants up to national builders merchants. The client database for Mexco and ADP Diamex is vast, showing clients that are located all over Britain and extending through Northern Ireland, Southern Ireland and the Channel Islands.
ADP Westfix, based in Bodmin, offers over the counter sales to the trade and the end user. It offers customers the opportunity to call in and discuss their requirements face to face, peruse the shop and experience some of the machinery hands on.
All three brands have grown significantly over the past 8 years through telesales and retail sales but now the company recognises the need to focus on developing the e-commerce side of the business.
The successful graduate will be required to:
Develop the brand identity and its consistency in a fresh, exciting manner across all three brands e.g. catalogues, brochures, leaflets, presentations, large format and internal presentation materials
Research, design and develop two new websites to support the growth plans of the business in the direction of e-commerce
Develop SEO, adword and social media campaigns to drive more traffic to the newly developed sites
Nature of work undertaken:
The successful graduate will initially familiarise themselves with the nature of the business, the product range offered, and the existing marketing material and website. This is a newly created position which will give the successful graduate a great opportunity to develop a career primarily in design but also to have a key role in the marketing of the business. Working closely with the Directors to initially design the catalogue and websites the role will also see the successful graduate maintaining and optimising the websites, forward planning for future catalogues, design & production of promotional literature, festive promotions, design of merchandising and product packaging. Essential Requirements:
Degree/HND qualification in Graphic/Web Design or similar

Summary:Tamar Grow Local CIC is looking to employ a Growing Projects Propagator to facilitate a range of linked sustainable community food and compost projects across the Tamar Valley for their Big Lottery funded Growing the Valley Project over a 3 year period..

Tamar Grow Local (TGL) is a not for profit Community Interest Company set up on co-operative principles, promoting sustainable local produce in the Tamar Valley and surrounding area, including parts of Devon and Cornwall. TGLs activities focus around providing opportunities and support for local people to grow their own food. The organisation raises awareness of the benefits of local produce and the unique market gardening history of this area. Working with commercial growers and supply chains TGL will increase the availability and consumption of local food and produce.
The successful graduate will be required to: Create a family of new and existing community food growing and composting initiatives to meet demand.
Build collaborative relationships between local communities with allotments, producers and composting projects and develop new markets and outlets.
Support the programme of work, and develop the website to act as an online information point on projects, events and a local food map with information on community projects and local producers across the Tamar Valley.
Work with University of Plymouth Social Work students to engage and involve the communities, including people with social, health or therapeutic needs or to develop skills.
Facilitate links between projects, and between local producers and new markets for local food and through the website.
This vital role will require the successful graduate to facilitate and develop the Growing the Valley project in line with the objectives and milestones agreed with the Board of Directors and outlined in the project business plan. Reporting to the Board of Directors (with one assigned line manager) but also making sure key stakeholders and partner organisations are kept informed, the successful candidate will monitor, evaluate and report project progress in an accurate and timely fashion. Key to the role is the work with local communities and partners, to develop projects that meet their needs and aspirations, whilst ensuring that the projects established and developed over the three year period have a sustainable business plan and to foster collaboration between projects to share resources. The role will also involve some supervision of student placements (University of Plymouth) and volunteers, working with partner organisations.
Essential Requirements
Degree level qualification in Horticulture/Agriculture
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience of successful project management and delivery.
Good numeracy and IT skills
Experience of growing organic fruit and vegetables
